CHICAGO — A 17-year-old was critically wounded in a Thursday shooting in Englewood, police said.

At 5:29 p.m., the teen was in the 6800 block of South Justine Street when he was shot in his back, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, Sedevic said, but she had no more information about what happened during the shooting.

No one is in custody, Sedevic said.

The victim is a documented gang member, police said.
