Englewood Shooting Leaves 17-Year-Old With Gunshot Wound in Mouth: Police

CHICAGO — A teenager was wounded during a shooting in Englewood late Thursday, police said.

At 9:45 p.m., the 17-year-old was standing on a corner in the 6600 block of South Lowe Avenue in Englewood when a man shot at him several times, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The victim was shot in his mouth and taken to Stroger Hospital in stable condition, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for the shooting, Sedevic said.
