MIDWAY — Registration is now open for the second annual Midway Fly Away 5K.
Set for a 9 a.m. start time Sept. 13, the 3.1-mile event at Midway International Airport supports the programs of Special Olympics Chicago, an organization that serves more than 5,000 athletes.
The "Midway" runner, the person who places in the middle of the race, will win Southwest Airlines tickets.
There will be no race day registration, so runners must sign up here.
Registration includes a souvenir race T-shirt and free parking.
