Montclare Man Charged in Crash That Caused Death of Unborn Child: Police

CHICAGO — A Montclare man has been charged for his role in a car crash that led to the death of an unborn child, according to police.

Ramon Marin, 23, of the 3000 block of North Natoma Avenue, was driving a car at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 6000 block of West Fullerton Avenue in Belmont Cragin when he hit the car of a 21-year-old pregnant woman, according to a Chicago Police news release.

The car crash caused the death of the woman's unborn child, according to police.

Marin is charged with a count of reckless homicide of an unborn child, a count of aggravated reckless driving and other violations, according to police.

The unborn child was stillborn and pronounced dead at 12:10 a.m. Thursday, according to Cook County Medical Examiner's records.
