CHICAGO — Gunfire erupted at a Wendy's after a car cut the line at the eatery's drive-thru late Thursday, police say.

At 11:50 p.m., a car cut in front of another car at a Wendy's at 200 W. Garfield Blvd. in Fuller Park, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The car's occupants got into an argument with the occupants they had cut off, and a man fired shots, striking a car, Sedevic said. Police said it's unclear from which car the shots were fired.

A 23-year-old man and a 20-year-old man who were inside the car were injured from broken glass, but no one was shot, Sedevic said. They were taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said.

A woman was driving the car where the shots came from, and she and her male passenger drove off, Sedevic said. The car was a newer-model SUV, Sedevic said. No one is in custody.
