WEST ENGLEWOOD — A 21-year-old man was in serious condition after being shot in West Englewood Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Around 4:40 p.m., the man was standing in the 6500 block of South Wolcott Avenue when two men walked up and one of them shot at him, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition with a gunshot wound in his abdomen, Estrada said.
