ALTGELD GARDENS — A 20-year-old man was shot to death late Tuesday night on the Far South Side, police said.
Around 10:55 p.m., the man was standing in the 700 block of East 131st Street when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and someone inside fired shots before fleeing northbound, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The man was shot multiple times in the face and chest, Estrada said.
Marlin J. Dixon III, of the 13000 block of South Evans, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:33 p.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
