West Englewood Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured, Police Say

CHICAGO - A 17-year-old man was killed and a 20-year-old man was injured after a West Englewood shooting late Friday night, police said.

The two men were outside at 11 p.m. on the 6400 block of South Justine Street when an unknown offender exited a white car and opened fire, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Torri Williams, of the 900 block of South Laflin Street, was shot in the chest and was taken to Stroger Hospital, officials said. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office listed his pronouncement time as 11:52 p.m. at the scene.

The 20-year-old man was shot in the arm and was transported to Holy Cross Hospital in stable condition, Estrada said.

No arrests have been made.
