CHICAGO — A 49-year-old man was shot in Grand Crossing Thursday night, police said.

Around 11:30 p.m., the man was sitting with a group on a porch in the 7400 block of South Kenwood Avenue when a man walked up to the group and opened fire striking the man in his stomach, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was taken to Northwestern Hospital in good condition, Pacheco said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
