Englewood Shooting Hospitalizes Two Thursday Night

CHICAGO — Two people were shot in Englewood Thursday night, police said.

Around 11:05 p.m., the two were standing in the 1100 block of West 59th Street when a man walked up to them and opened fire, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A 29-year-old man was shot in his left leg and a 24-year-old man was shot in his right leg. Both men were taken to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, Pacheco said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
