CHICAGO — After having the plug pulled on his last hologram concert, Chief Keef's hologram will once again try to perform in Chicago — this time, at the iconic Chicago Theater. But a theater spokesman said they had nothing to do with the concert.

In a news release, Chief Keef and Alki David said they'll hold "All-Star Stop The Killing Now Hologram Benefit Concert" simultaneously in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. Though Chief Keef's spokesman Owen Phillips said the event would happen in mid-September at the Chicago Theatre, that could not be confirmed.

A spokesman for Madison Square Garden, which represents the Chicago Theatre, said there was no such show scheduled and that "we are not involved in this in any way."

Last Saturday, Hammond, Ind., Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr. literally pulled the plug on Keef's hologram show in that city. Before that, pressure from Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office led Chicago's Redmoon Theater to cancel another benefit show.

Earlier this month, Glo Gang member Capo was fatally shot on the South Side leading to a police chase, which ended in a crash that killed an infant child. The driver allegedly shot the rapper before fatally striking 13-month-old Dillan Harris.

After the incident, Keef said he would hold a fundraiser for Dillan, which was met with a lot of political opposition citing his violent lyrics, but Mark Konkol argued canceling the concert sends the wrong message.

Keef and star-producer Detail have recruited an "all-star hip hop line up" for the September concert, according to a release. Aside from raising funds for Dillan's family and other anti-violence organizations, the concert also aims to address gang violence, the Black Lives Matter movement and "present positive messages of peace, responsibility and hope."

Dillan's mother Shatrelle McComb will advise on the event, the release said.

"The all-star hip hop line up will span decades, cities, genres and affiliations," the release said. "Street organization leaders and surprise guests will speak to the situation in the streets and hug it out via hologram."

The release called Emanuel and McDermott Jr. "fascist" for stopping previous concerts. Keef also threatened to run against Emanuel for mayor, but the threat was met with sarcasm from Emanuel.

"When you censor us you only make us stronger," David said in a statement.
