WEST LOOP — Award-winning chef Stephanie Izard said her new Chinese-influenced restaurant — Duck, Duck Goat — is scheduled to open in the fall.

Izard, who owns Girl and the Goat and Little Goat, hopes to debut Duck, Duck, Goat at 857 W. Fulton Market in November.

After teaching children from the Montessori School of Englewood on Wednesday how to prepare healthy meals, Izard talked briefly about her newest restaurant. There will be dishes inspired by her trips to China, she said.

One of the dishes she made with the children was miniature veggie rolls with fresh greens. Her little helpers got a sneak peek of what might be on the menu come this November.

“Tonight, when I get back, when I get a little free time, I’ll be working on rolling some more Chinese dumplings, so having fun like this, but just with some different flavors,” she said.
