CHICAGO — A 32-year-old man was shot to death early Saturday morning in Austin, police said.
At about 12:50 a.m., two men were walking on the sidewalk on the 4900 block of West Hubbard Street when someone fired shots in their direction, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
Police found the man unresponsive on the scene after he was shot in his abdomen and right shoulder, Estrada said.
No one is in custody for the shooting, Estrada said, but police are investigating.
Police said the victim is a documented gang member, and they suspect the incident was gang-related.
