Gage Park Man Broke Into Home, Exposed Himself to Teen, Police Say

CHICAGO — A Gage Park man broke into a home in the neighborhood, exposed himself to a teenager and then ran away, police say.

Jose Garcia Jr., 36, of the 5200 block of South Rockwell Street, broke into a home early Thursday in the 3000 block of West 56th Street, according to a Chicago Police news release. Garcia exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl who was sleeping on a couch in the home and then ran away, according to police.

Garcia is charged with home invasion/sex offense and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to police.

The victim was taken to Holy Cross Hospital and released, according to police.
