CHICAGO — A police officer is in good condition after being wounded Thursday morning, police said.

An off-duty officer was wounded at 11:30 a.m. in the 6900 block of South Crandon Avenue, said Officer Bari Lemmon, Chicago Police spokeswoman. The officer is in good condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Lemmon said.

Lemmon said Thursday afternoon that police are not releasing any further information now.
