CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was fatally shot in Austin on July 15, police said.
Around 7:50 p.m., the man was in the 4900 block of West Hubbard Street in Austin when a man rode up on a bicycle and shot him multiple times, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman. The man was identified as Malcolm Willie, of the 500 block of North Lavergne Street, through medical examiner documents.
Willie was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, but was later pronounced dead, Estrada said.
No one is in custody for the shooting.
Also Wednesday, a 23-year-old man was also fatally shot in Austin just before midnight, police said.
