3 Men Shot While Stopped in Traffic in Portage Park, Police Say

CHICAGO — Three men were shot while stopped in traffic in Portage Park Saturday morning, police said.

The three men were driving in the 4700 block of West Addison Street around 6 a.m. when a white sedan pulled up alongside their car and fired shots, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A 21-year-old man was shot in the back of his ear, a 23-year-old man suffered a graze wound to his right ear and another 21-year-old man was shot in his shoulder, Bari said.

The three victims went to Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment and were released, Bari said.

According to police, the man who was shot in his shoulder is a documented gang member.
