CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was fatally shot while riding his bicycle in Little Village on Thursday night, police said.

Joseph Gutierrez, 20, of the 6200 block of South Kenneth Avenue, was riding his bicycle in the 2700 block of South Karlov Avenue when someone walked up and shot him, authorities said.

Gutierrez was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:06 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one was in custody.
