
JEFFERSON PARK — Two people were arrested and 112 tickets were issued during a weekend crackdown on drunken driving, police said Thursday.
Police from the Jefferson Park Police District conducted a DUI Strike Force patrol from 7 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday on the Far Northwest Side.
One person was arrested for drunken driving and another was arrested for driving with a suspended license, police said.
Forty-one people were cited for driving an unsafe vehicle, 10 were ticketed for not having proper insurance, six for not having their driver's licenses and 11 drivers were ticketed for not wearing their seat belts, police said.
Forty-three other drivers were also ticketed, police said.
