CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was shot early Saturday in West Ridge, police said.

The man was standing in an alley at 2:55 a.m. in the 6300 block of North Washtenaw Avenue when a dark-colored SUV drove past and someone inside fired shots at the man, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition with wounds to his leg, torso and back, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for the shooting and police are investigating, Sedevic said.
