UPTOWN — A knife-wielding man sexually assaulted a woman last week on a CTA train near the Wilson Red Line station, police said.

The assault occurred about 11 p.m. June 16, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The woman, 55, was sexually assaulted by a 35-year-old man with a knife on the Red Line train in the 4600 block of North Broadway, Pacheco said, which is where the Wilson Red Line station is located.

The woman took herself to Mercy Hospital & Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition, Pacheco said.
