CHINATOWN — The Chinatown Summer Fair will soon take over the streets, bringing thousands to the neighborhood.

Opening July 19, the fair will run from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at Wentworth and Cermak avenues.

Organizers bill the fair as one of the most ethnically unique outdoor events in the Midwest. Thousands of visitors and residents are expected to attend the fair, which will feature music acts, kids’ activities, artisans and food from neighborhood restaurants.

There will also be a Dragon & Lion Dance procession at 12:30 p.m. and Chinese dance and martial arts demonstrations.

Admission is free.
