LITTLE VILLAGE — City planners are inviting Little Village residents to weigh in as they develop a land use plan for the neighborhood.

The City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development will host a workshop from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday at New Hope Church of God, 3048 S. Central Park Ave. The land use plan will guide development and decision making in Little Village for years to come, city officials said.

Thursday's meeting will focus on land use issues and opportunities related to industrial areas and open space in Little Village.

The meeting is presented in partnership with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning.

For more information or to RSVP, contact Ricardo Lopez at rlopez@cmap.illinois.gov or 312-386-8766 or Maria Castañeda at maria@gamalielmetrochi.org or 773-666-2663.

The groups held a first Little Village community meeting on housing, retail and historic preservation on June 18.
