Man Found Shot to Death in Drug-Filled Car in Austin Identified

CHICAGO — Officers found a 27-year-old man fatally shot in a car filled with drugs and drug paraphernalia in Austin on Sunday, police said.

Police found the man in the 100 block of North Parkside Avenue around 10 a.m. with a gunshot wound in his back, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

Cordelro McGee was pronounced dead at the scene, and no one is in custody for the shooting, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

McGee's home address was unknown as of Thursday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
