CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was shot in the 400 block of East 71st Street in Grand Crossing Sunday afternoon, police said.

Around 2 p.m., the man was walking eastbound on 71st Street when a man walked up to him and shot him in his left hip, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

He was taken to Christ Hospital, where he was treated and released, Estrada said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
