ENGLEWOOD —The Englewood Police/Youth Baseball Team is hosting its Opening Day on Wednesday.
The young players will play at Hamilton Park, 513 W. 72nd St. from 3-7 p.m.
The day will also include food, music and a parade to celebrate the start of the season. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
The new league has six teams, all based in the neighborhood and coached by a police officer, as part of a summer community-building initiative.
