CHICAGO — A Harvey man died a week after he was shot in Greater Grand Crossing, officials said.

On June 4 at 4:50 p.m., Kenneth J. Williams, 28, and a 20-year-old man were sitting outside in the 7800 block of South Drexel Avenue when a man walked up and fired shots, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

The 20-year-old was shot in his buttocks and taken to Stroger where he was listed in fair condition, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
