BRONZEVILLE — A 38-year-old Dolton man was gunned down in Bronzeville early Friday, officials said.
Around 1 a.m., a 38-year-old man was sitting in a car in the 4200 block of South Calumet Avenue when a white car approached, two male shooters exited and began to fire shots, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The man, who was later identified by Cook County Medical Examiner's office as Abdula Tate, was shot in his stomach and chest, Sweeney said.
He was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital at 1:47 a.m., according to the morgue.
No one is in custody.
