BRIDGEPORT — Flowers are blooming all over the city, and the neighborhood will soon have the opportunity to keep Palmisano Park beautiful.
On Saturday, the Henry C. Palmisano Nature Center Advisory Council will host its next volunteer stewardship event at 2700 S. Halsted St., inviting the public to meet new neighbors and spruce up the park.
The event is part of the Chicago Park District's Volunteer Stewardship Program and runs from 9-11 a.m. Volunteers will meet at the corner of 29th and Halsted streets at 9 a.m. Tools, gloves, snacks and training are provided.
