EDGEWATER — Cyclists who ride through the Far North side may soon have reason to rejoice.

Ald. Harry Osterman (48th) announced his office has been working with the Chicago Department of Transportation to install a bike lane along Glenwood Avenue between Ridge and Foster avenues, Osterman said in a newsletter to residents sent last week.

Pictures of the lane indicate it would run the opposite direction from traffic on the one-way street.

Few additional details of the project have been released, but Osterman and CDOT representatives will be on hand to answer questions and divulge more details information during a community meeting Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Edgewater Baptist Church, 1402 W. Hollywood Ave.

City officials couldn't be reached for comment.
