Green City Market Fulton Opens Saturday For Season

FULTON MARKET — The West Loop's farmers market opens for the season Saturday with a book signing and new vendors.

Green City Market Fulton opens its second season Saturday at the southeast corner of Fulton and Halsted streets. The market will be open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday through October.

Public parking is available on the east side of the street at 221 N. Halsted St.

In addition to vendors selling organic and sustainable produce and other goods at the market, The Food Network's Simon Majumdaar will be signing his new book "Fed, White and Blue: Finding America with My Fork" beginning at 10 a.m. A recurring judge on Cutthroat Kitchen, Majumdaar has appeared on Iron Chef America, Beat Bobby Flay, The Next Iron Chef, Best Thing I Ever Ate and Extreme Chef.

• Crumb Chicago

• Green Acres Farm

• Hillside Orchard

• Leaning Shed Farm

• Mint Creek Farm

• Nichols Farm and Orchard

• Phoenix Bean

• The Flower Garden

• Tomato Mountain 

In addition to the Fulton Market farmers market, Green City Market has operated in Lincoln Park for 17 years.
