ROGERS PARK — The 45-year-old victim in a probable domestic homicide-suicide in Rogers Park was identified as Steven Delatorre, of the 1500 block of West Chase Avenue, officials said.

Around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, Delatorre and 52-year-old Michael Bowers were found in the home they shared on Chase Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Both men were dead, and Bowers had been shot in his head, Estrada said. They were both pronounced dead at 5:06 p.m.

Cook County Medical Examiner's office ruled Bowers' death a suicide Thursday.

The autopsy report showed that Delatorre had died of multiple gunshot wounds, and the morgue ruled his death a homicide Friday.
