CHICAGO — Reconstruction of Lake Shore Drive's northbound ramp to the Stevenson Expressway is set to begin Monday.

The single-lane ramp will be reduced to a width of 11 feet, and there will be some overnight closures, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The construction work is part of a $133 million project to rebuild the ramps and bridges between Lake Shore Drive and the Stevenson Expy. east of the Dan Ryan Expy.

The project will affect:

• The inbound and outbound Stevenson over McCormick Place and Martin Luther King Drive

• The inbound Stevenson to northbound and southbound Lake Shore Drive

• Northbound and southbound Lake Shore Drive to the Stevenson Expressway

Reconstruction of Lake Shore Drive's southbound ramp to the outbound Stevenson will begin later in the summer.
