CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was fatally shot in Uptown early Friday, police said.

The man was walking in the 4800 block of North Kenmore Avenue around 1:20 a.m. when a man got out of a car, and approached from behind and fired shots, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The 20-year-old was shot in his back twice and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, Sedevic said.
