AUBURN GRESHAM — Residents of Auburn Gresham are invited to help plant flowers, trim bushes and clean the 7800 block of S. Morgan St. on June 6.

Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago is putting on a project called a NeighborWorks Day. They will focus on cleaning up that block from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. Volunteers will plant matching flowers and plants along the block, trim bushes, weed and clean the block and garden. The garden will become a location for an upcoming resource fair for the community which will hold workshops for renters and property owners.

This is the 28th annual NeighborWorks Day, which focuses on giving back to the community. Several events are scheduled to take place across the city. Other projects will happen in neighborhoods such as Back of the Yards and Englewood. For a complete list and to register click HERE.
