CHICAGO — Two teens were shot, one fatally, in Kenwood Sunday evening.

Around 8:15 p.m., a 14-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy were standing outside in the 800 block of East 45th Street when shots were fired from a light-colored car, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The 15-year-old boy was shot in his back and was found unresponsive in the alley. He was pronounced dead on the scene, Cooper said.

He was identified as Raheem Dameron, of the 5600 block of South Justine Street. He was pronounced dead at 8:56 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The 14-year-old boy was shot in his foot and taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Cooper said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
