CHICAGO — A West Englewood house party left one woman dead and two men injured after four guests became disgruntled when told they weren't welcome at the party, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

According to police, at 12:48 a.m. early Sunday, four men who were denied entry into a party in the 6100 block of South Honore Street surrounded the home where the party was taking place and began to fire shots into the crowd.

A woman, 29, was shot in her chest and leg and taken to Holy Cross Hospital where she was pronounced dead. She was later identified as Deja Atwood, home address unknown, according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Also injured were two men: A 39-year-old was shot in his chest and taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, and the other, 25, was shot in his arm. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital.

After the shooting, the men fled the scene, but police do not know in which direction, Cooper said.

No one is currently in custody.
