It's a 'Big Year' for North Park During Movies in the Parks Series

NORTH PARK —  It's a match made in Movies in the Parks heaven: "The Big Year," all about a fictional bird-watching competition, will screen at North Park Village Nature Center.

The Jack Black-Steve Martin-Owen Wilson vehicle is one of four outdoor movies to be hosted in neighborhood parks this summer.

The schedule:

June 19: "The Boxtrolls," 8:30 p.m., Peterson Park, 5801 N. Pulaski Road.

July 9: "Dolphin Tale 2," 8:30 p.m., Gompers Park, 4222 W. Foster Ave.

July 14: "The Big Year," 8:30 p.m., North Park Village Nature Center, 5801 N. Pulaski Road.

Aug. 11: "Winged Migration," 8 p.m., North Park Village Nature Center, 5801 N. Pulaski Road.
