BEVERLY — Artemis Singers, Chicago's lesbian feminist chorus, will perform next month in Beverly and Lakeview.

The "Proud to be...Me!" concert and dance begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, at Broadway United Methodist Church at 3338 N. Broadway in Lakeview.

A second performance will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, at the Beverly Unitarian Church at 10244 S. Longwood Dr. in Beverly.

The upcoming performance showcases songs about an individual's inherent worth and dignity. A dance with live DJ immediately follows each concert.

The non-profit Artemis Singers are celebrating their 35th anniversary this year. The group specializes in performing music written or arranged by women.

Tickets are a suggested donation of $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Seniors and children can buy tickets for $10. Visit www.artemissingers.org for details.
