Rogers Park, South Shore Shootings Leave Two Injured Tuesday: Police

CHICAGO — Two people were shot Tuesday afternoon in Rogers Park and South Shore, police said.

The most recent shooting occurred around 5 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Juneway Terrace when a 25-year-old man was shot in the hand in right hip, according to Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman. 

He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in fair condition. Zala said no other information was immediately available. 

Three hours earlier, a 44-year-old man was shot at 2 p.m. in the 7800 block of South South Shore Drive.

According to Zala, the man suffered a graze wound to his leg, but refused medical attention. 

No one was in custody for either incident as of 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
