Man Dies Months After Garfield Ridge Shooting

CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man died nearly a year after being shot in Garfield Ridge.

Around 5:15 p.m. on July 21, Eric Langham got into an argument with some people in a car in the 4600 block of South Lamon Avenue before being shot multiple times, police said.

Langham then drove himself to the 5100 block of South Cicero Avenue and called police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

Langham, of the 4400 block of South Lavergne Avenue, was pronounced dead at Christ Hospital at 6:45 a.m. Monday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
