GRANT PARK — Weezer, Erykah Badu, and Spoon are three of the headliners playing this summer's Taste of Chicago in Grant Park, city officials said Tuesday.
The free annual food festival from July 8 through 12 will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets for seats at the Petrillo Music Shell will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday on the festival's website, and lawn seating is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Taste lineup also includes several cover bands on Sunday, July 12.
Here are the headliners announced Tuesday:
Wednesday, July 8, 5:30 p.m.
• Weezer will play after an opener to be announced June 8.
Thursday, July 9, 5:30 p.m.
• Erykah Badu will play after an opener to be announced June 22.
Friday, July 10, 5:30 p.m.
• The Chieftains will play after opener Special Consensus.
Saturday, July 11, 4:30 p.m.
• Spoon will play after openers Madisen Ward & the Mama Bear and Houndmouth.
Sunday, July 12, 4:30 p.m.
• Maze featuring Frankie Beverly will play after opener Duane Powell.
