CHICAGO — A 38-year-old woman was found dead in a vehicle in Austin Sunday morning, police said.
At 10:40 a.m., police responded to call of a woman unresponsive in a parked vehicle in the 5200 block of West Thomas Street, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, Sedevic said.
The woman was identified as Frankie Smith, of the 1100 block of North LeClaire Avenue. She was pronounced dead at 11 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police are conducting a death investigation.
