CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was fatally shot in Englewood Thursday night, police said.
Around 7:25 p.m., the man was in the 7000 block of South Sangamon Street when he was shot in the armpit and thigh, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, Cooper said.
Antonio Galtney, of the 500 block of E. 51st St., was pronounced dead at 8:12 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.
