CHICAGO — A man and woman were wounded while driving Sunday morning in West Englewood, police said.

At 10:30 a.m., a 23-year-old man was driving southbound in the 6700 block of South Bishop Street when a grey minivan pulled up and opened fire, before driving away, said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was shot multiple times in his torso and the 24-year-old woman was shot in her upper leg, Zala said.

The man then drove to Holy Cross Hospital, where the woman was listed in good condition. The man was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, Zala said.
