CHATHAM — Two people are dead after a shooting incident in Chatham in the early hours of Friday, police said.

Around 12:45 a.m., a family member found 27-year-old Erica Blackman and a yet-unnamed 42-year-old man dead in the 8000 block of South Princeton Avenue in Chatham, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Both Blackman and the man had gunshot wounds to the head, Lemmon said, and they were pronounced dead on the scene.

A police source said that the shooting was a domestic murder-suicide.
