CHICAGO — A man found unresponsive with fatal gunshot wounds Friday night in Auburn Gresham was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Nyerere Lloyd, 26, of the 6600 block of South Troy Street, was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Hospital, the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.
Police officers discovered the 26-year-old man lying on his back on a sidewalk, unconscious, around 10:10 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Aberdeen Street with gunshot injuries to his chest, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a police spokesperson.
No one is currently in custody.
