WEST TOWN — A popular restaurant known for serving up whole and smoked animals, including exotic alligator, Frontier will be celebrating its fourth anniversary on Thursday by giving away tastes of some of its most popular appetizers.

Located at 1072 N. Milwaukee Ave., Frontier opened in 2011. Its kitchen is run by Pioneer Tavern Group's Corporate Executive Chef Brian Jupiter, a New Orleans native who grew up eating alligator and other exotic meat. Jupiter's whole animal menu offers alligator, goat, lamb, pig, wild boar and suckling pig.

According to a news release, a "customer appreciation" party is set for 6 to 8 pm. Thursday in the all-season covered beer garden.

Free appetizers and samplings of the restaurant's spirits, including tastes of Bulleit Bourbon, and Four Roses and Heaven Hill whiskey, among others, will be served to guests.

A spokeswoman for Frontier confirmed fried alligator sausage, deviled eggs and other snacks would be among the appetizers on the party menu.  View Frontier's menu here.
