Uptown Shooting Hospitalizes Man Monday

CHICAGO — A 40-year-old man was shot early Monday in Uptown.

Around 3:55 a.m., the man was walking on the sidewalk in the 900 block of West Wilson Avenue when someone fired shots from a silver car, striking the man in his hip and groin, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
