CHICAGO — Four men were wounded in separate shootings on the South and West Sides Monday afternoon, police said.

Around 3:50 p.m. in North Lawndale, two men were shot in the 3900 block of West Grenshaw Street, said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago police spokesman.

A 24-year-old man was shot in his arm and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. A 27-year-old man who was also wounded in the same shooting drove himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, Zala said.

No other details were available on their conditions.

In Pullman around 2:30 p.m., a 24-year-old man was sitting in a vehicle in the 600 block of 103rd Street when another man entered the car and demanded money, Zala said.

The man fired shots at the 24-year-old before getting out of the car and driving away in another vehicle, Zala said.

The man was shot in his leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition had stabilized, Zala said.

At 12:40 p.m. in Bronzeville, a 20-year-old man was sitting in a car the 4400 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when someone in a passing vehicle fired shots, striking the man in his neck and shoulder, Zala said.

The man was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, Zala said.
